EUROPEAN LANDSCAPE

The State Secondary School Antonio Navarro Santafé of Villena (Alicante, Spain) would like to contact any partner schools that may be interested in working together in an Erasmus +KA2 program, whose registration is due to finish on 30th April 2014.Our high school is currently carrying out an educational project titled “Landscape: Experience, Understanding and Transformation” ( https://www.flickr.com/people/villenaobservers/ ) in collaboration with Villena City Hall and Alicante University,; it has recently been awarded the National Prize of Educaction 2013 by the Spanish Education Department in the Environmental Management and Sustanaibility category. In this Project we are undertaking several lanscape interventions to improve the access to different school centers. It is a cross curricular and interdisciplinary project (Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts, languages, etc) which embraces different educational levels (secondary school studies, baccalaureate, and Vocational Training) and aims at studying and improving the natural surroundings (through a school vegetable garden) and the urban milieu ( by implementing proposals to improve the access to our school (security and cleaning). It is a project open to introducing and exchanging other educational experiences of citizen participation.

PROYECTO DE FUTURO PARQUE

Tras haber finalizado dos talleres de paisaje con nuestro alumnado de 1º Bachillerato y la inestimable coordinación de Silvia Valero y Martin Noguerol, preparamos ya la actuación para un futuro parque escolar, entre el CEIP Ruperto Chapí y nuestro IES. El parque ha sido diseñado a partir de los materiales obtenidos en las cámaras municipales del Ayuntamiento y las donaciones de empresas de Villena. Han sido nuestro alumnos de BACH (1º )los que han presentado el proyecto en las empresas de Villena y han logrado su colaboración. También ellos han sido los que han diseñado la propuesta de intervención.

Empresas como COARVAL, HIJOS DE JOSÉ ESPINOSA, EXCAVACIONES SERRA, ACENOX, FERRI o FUNDACIÓN PRIMA DOMUS se convertirán así en patrocinadoras permanentes del parque. Nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a estas empresas por una apuesta ciudadana en tiempos tan difíciles como los actuales. De este modo, la actuación paisajística será el resultado de la participación conjunta de la sociedad civil de Villena (comunidad educativa, Ayuntamiento y tejido empresarial). Nuestros alumnos del PCPI están ahora restaurando el mobiliario urbano de las cámaras municipales.
